Arlen has been incredibly fortunate to a part of hundreds of commissions, both for solo cello, and chamber ensemble (especially with the Bang on a Can All-Stars). She has been lucky enough to be involved in several projects creating new works for her instrument through collaboration, including her September Solo Cello Project, working with incredible organizations like Tippet Rise and Bang on a Can to add to the cello repertoire, individual collaborations like Nineteen, and more! She has worked closely with composers including Dawn Avery, Francis Carr, Reena Esmail, India Gailey, Michael Gordon, Will Healy, David Jaeger, Gabriel Kahane, Mary Kouyoumdjian, David Lang, David Ludwig, Leyla McCalla, Matthias McIntire, Meredith Monk, Scott Ordway, Michelle Ross, Daniel Bernard Roumain, Nathan Schram, Annika Socolofsky, Daijana Wallace, Dai Wei, Paul Wiancko, Julia Wolfe, Elizabeth Younan, and more.
