FAduo after a recital for Puddingstone Festival in Newport, RI

FAduo

FAduo is an innovative young cello duo comprised of internationally acclaimed cellists, Arlen Hlusko and Frankie (Francis) Carr. The two graduates of the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music met in 2019 at Music from Angel Fire, a festival nestled in the quiet, breathtaking mountains of Northern New Mexico. They initially bonded over their love for nature and eagerness to spend time outside, and quickly came to find how much they enjoyed playing together. Starting with late nights reading cello duos after full festival days, they eventually recorded a track together for Arlen’s album, [in]verse (listen here!), and began seeking out more performance opportunities together.

Passionate about all kinds of music from Bach to living composers to The Beatles, their programs are an eclectic array of classic works, brand new commissions, and fun arrangements. Both avid readers and story tellers, their programs are designed to tell interesting stories reflective of our time.
